The United Nations Security Council 2250 (UNSCR 2250) on Youth, Peace and Security was adopted on 9th December 2015, recognizing the important role of the youth in promoting peace and security.
The African Centre for Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) in partnership with Southern African Development Community (SADC) are hosting a regional workshop for SADC Youth, Peace and Security Strategy. This workshop will validate the SADC YPS strategy as well as facilitate discussions on how SADC members state can adopt and implement UNSCR 2250, YPS Agenda, and the SADC Regional Strategy on YPS.
Natasha Muhyilla, ZCSD Programme Officer has joined delegates in South Africa at the SADC and ACCORD hosted meeting to validate the strategy.
